Books for Halloween
Pop Up Haunted House – $29.99
This book JUST came out and I am obsessed. So are my kids! Each spread is dramatic, has pull outs and flaps to keep kids engaged, and is the perfect mix of spooky and funny. If you’re going to get just one book for Halloween, I highly recommend this one.
True Stories of Ghosts – $4.99
Do you have a child who loves spooky stories? These are actual, true reports by people who though they’d seen ghosts or poltergeists!! Even though it’s not specifically a book for Halloween, it definitely matches the spirit of the season 👻👻👻
Poppy and Sam’s Halloween Party – $9.99
Poppy and Sam’s Halloween Party is an adorable board book that mimics the style of our “Are You There…?” series with cut-outs tricking Poppy and Sam into believing they see their dog on the next page.
That’s Not My Witch (also bat and monster) – $9.99
The classic touchy feely series goes Halloween!! Witch, Bat, and Monster are all great ways to include your baby and toddler in the Halloween spirit. Full of the great textures and repetitive text to build sensory and language awareness that you’re used to from this series!
Trick or Treat Parakeet – $6.99
This book features fun rhyming text, bright illustrations, and even a phonics guide for parents!
Shadow Chaser – $8.99
A great option for your older readers. This book stars YOU. Choose your own adventure and figure out who can you trust? Where will you race? You are on an epic adventure featuring picture puzzles, a combat system, and the fate of the entire kingdom is in YOUR hands.
Dracula – $9.99
I am obsessed with our graphic classics, especially for reluctant readers. They are a great introduction to classic texts, such as Hamlet, The Odyssey, and The Wizard of Oz. For Halloween, Dracula is the obvious choice.
Wipe-Clean Halloween Activities – $7.99
Learning pen-control is so important for young children! Why not make it fun with some mazes, dot-to-dots, and spotting the differences puzzles, all with a Halloween twist? (Psst, if you would like to see all of the Wipe-Clean options, click here)
Sticker Dolly Dressing Halloween – $9.99
The Sticker Dolly Dressing series is like paper dolls, but with stickers. My daughter LOVES the Halloween one. You get to create the costumes on each page with each sticker spread.
Little Sticker Dolly Dressing Halloween – $8.99
The Little Sticker Dolly Dressing series is smaller in size to the typical Sticker Dolly Dressing and also intended for younger kiddos. 4+ instead of 5+
Spider Queen’s Halloween – $6.99
Another great option from the Phonics Readers. Did you notice the QR code? You can scan this with your phone to listen to the book be read aloud (I love that you can switch it from British English to American English)
Monsters at Halloween – $4.99
This series is one of our faaaves. Hilarious antics, bright illustrations, it’s the perfect graphic series for those early independent readers. (Although, I will say, it makes for a very fun read aloud as well)
Little Coloring Halloween – $4.99
Let the little ones have some fun, too!! These Little Coloring books feature large illustrations to color in. And notice the cover, it encourages playful coloring with no expectation of staying in the lines.
Little Children’s Halloween Activity Book – $9.99
Another great option for 4+. Matching puzzles, mazes, coloring, dot-to-dots, this book is packed with fun activities!
Halloween Magic Painting Book – $9.99
I love all of our Magic Paintings. If you’re not familiar, each spread has colors “magically” stored in the black lines on the page that you “magically” reveal with a wet paintbrush. Our Halloween Magic Painting is especially spooooky.
Which one of these is your favorite!?

What a fun list! Boy, it makes me wish my kids were little again- I just LOVED buying picture books and activity books for them… I might have to start a collection for any future grandkids…lol
They aren’t “Halloween” books, but my 3 year is loving the Mercer Mayer books, There something in the attic and There’s an alligator under my bed. I love getting seasonal books.
I don’t have any kids, but you won’t tell anyone if I buy the pop-up book just for myself, right? 😀
